Hair Extensions: Are They Right for You?

December 1, 2018

Adding volume and length seamlessly to your natural hair is possible! RaChelle’s biggest pet peeve is bad hair extensions. She’s been doing hair extensions for 15 years and Locket Extensions for 8 years. Locket Extensions are by far her favorite! Static Salon is all about giving people their dream hair with extensions that won’t cause damage.

What Are Locket Extensions?

Locket Extensions are made of 100% real European Virgin Cuticle Remy hair. You won’t even notice you have Lockets in because they’re incredibly lightweight. High quality hair means you can leave it straight or wear it curly, and the curls will hold for days. Locket Extensions also last up to a year!

 Will Extensions Damage My Hair?

Locket Extensions use micro beads to fasten the extensions to your natural hair. The Locket method takes as little as one hour. Other techniques, such as tape-in and glue-in extensions cause damage to the hair and can take 3-4 hours.

How Do I Maintain Extensions?

Regular touch-ups every 4 weeks will help protect the health of your hair. Touch-ups are a breeze; the extensions can be moved back up in as little as 30 minutes! The bead is loosened to move the extension up the hair then secured shut. Touch-ups are $60 and every third time $125 because the beads will need to be replaced.

You will also need a gentle bush, like the Wet Brush, to avoid straining the hair. Gently shampooing, using a satin pillowcase, and avoiding tight ponytails helps maintain your extensions as well.

How Much Do Extensions Cost?

For volume only, average hair needs 2 packs. To add volume and length, 3-5 packs are needed. Each pack is $225-275 depending on the length. The different lengths are 16in, 20in, and 24in. There are 22 different hair colors to choose from!

Are Extensions Right For Me?

Locket Extensions work best with less coarse and straighter hair types.

Our client Stacey said that she couldn’t believe she waited so long to get hair extensions. After having skin cancer, Stacey said her hair texture was not the same. Not only does she love that the Lockets give her hair fullness, but also they help her natural hair grow.

Stacey says, “Just because you’re getting older doesn’t mean you have to have short hair.”

It’s true! Extensions are perfect for so many people, and we’re excited to share information about extensions with everyone. Extensions consultations are complimentary, so if you’re curious about extensions give us a call or visit!
